About

I grew up in the Upper Mississippi Delta in Memphis. I’m a Liberal Arts junkie with a keen interest in German and French culture, animals and wilderness. My focus as an undergraduate History major centered on Weimar and Nazi Germany, post war Europe and the socio-economic history of the American West. With my English major, I focused on the Romantic and Beat poets, as well as creative writing.

I’m a strong believer in the Nordic socio-economic model and heavily influenced by the ideas of Norwegian philosopher Arne Næss and various writers including Edward Abbey, Gary Snyder and Timothy Snyder and Noam Chomsky.

My heroes are typically women. People like Sophie Scholl. I love strong women that stand up to tyranny.

Former Catholic that recognizes the divine in nature and in the interconnectedness of all things.

This blog is a collection of my thoughts, ideas, interests and experiences. Some photos are mine. Some aren’t. It’s easy to tell which are which. The good ones aren’t mine.

Free thinker open to all possibilities.
