I grew up in the Upper Mississippi Delta in Memphis. Liberal Arts lover (English and History) with a keen interest in German and French culture, animals and wilderness. My historical focus centered on Weimar and Nazi Germany, post war Europe and the socio-economic history of the American West. In English, I focused on the Romantic and Beat poets as well as creative writing.

Strong believer in the Nordic socio-economic model and heavily influenced by the ideas of Norwegian philosopher Arne Næss and various writers including Edward Abbey, Gary Snyder (poet and essayist) and Timothy Snyder (historian) and Noam Chomsky.

My heroes are typically women. People like Sophie Scholl. I love strong women that stand up to tyranny.

Former Catholic that tends to see “god” in nature and in the interconnectedness of all things.

I tend to be fierce. I suppose that comes from my Scottish heritage. Otherwise, my approach to life tends to run French. I love wine and romance. Revolution. Overly dramatic. I guess that comes from my French heritage.

This blog is a collection of my thoughts, ideas, interests and experiences. Some photos are mine. Some aren’t. It’s easy to tell which are which. The good ones aren’t mine.

Free thinker open to all possibilities.
