Watching a woman in a crisis can be truly awe-inspiring. They’ve got something men just don’t have, and I suspect it’s survival trait that helps them survive in a world dominated by men.
I believe men should just step aside and let women run things. We’d have fewer wars, scandals and a more egalitarian society.
One of my favorite heroines is Sophie Scholl, a young German woman that was a member of The White Rose, a Nazi resistance movement founded by students at the University of Munich. Sophie lost her life for her cause. As she prepared to go to the guillotine, her last words were, “How can we expect righteousness to prevail when there is hardly anyone willing to give himself up individually to a righteous cause? Such a fine sunny day, and I have to go, but what does my death matter, if through us thousands of people are awakened and stirred to action?”
Such bravery. The human spirit at its finest. She and her brother, who was also executed, are considered to be amongst the greatest Germans ever and a memorialized with a bust prominently displayed in the Bavarian Walhalla Hall.
